Narrator Maxwell Caulfield transports us to Vinland and the idyllic life of Florin, prince of the land. Then Florin travels to Moltovia, and, before we know it, he's captured and his world is turned upside down. The cruel King Theodo imprisons Florin's father and places Florin under the tutelage of Mimus, the jester. His father's very life depends on Florin's ability to entertain. Caulfield so strongly narrates the abrupt changes in Florin's life that listeners happily go along for the ride. Caulfield brings this world and all its characters alive with animation.
