The electrifying sixth thriller featuring former bodyguard Atticus Kodiak and former assassin Alena Cizkova opens with an ambush that kills Kodiak's partner and severely injures him. Jonathan Davis smoothly and quickly changes accents, tones, and pacing to differentiate the various American, Russian, and Eastern European characters. Davis's accomplished narration conveys the action-packed atmosphere of Kodiak's world in a calm, plausible manner. He reads the dialogue of the stoic, tough characters in a clipped, terse style. Listeners will cheer for Kodiak and Cizkova as we experience their relentless effort to save their lives, clear their names, and punish those responsible for the death of a close friend. S.C.A.
